An contradictory article which circles around the same "points" which have been debunked previously.

For a publisher who seeks to advocate for greater union protections, there seems to be a severe case of beating workers up.

Also point out what has been debunked previously? Also Point out how this article is "beating workers up" when they interviewed one of the supposed workers who argued for more fair business practices from your company? I'm waiting

Genya from the first People Make Games video has previously reiterated over and over again that PMG cut a significant amount of their interview which provided significant context: https://twitter.com/ScriptOnRoblox/status/1699895399614742746

Multiple people who were on Roblox as children and are now adults have spoken out. Here's just one of them: https://twitter.com/MaximumADHD/status/1699893582445048009

That doesn't debunk anything. They admit to taking a large cut of the profits. There reasons for claiming to do so are innocuous, but Roblox's revenue is $2.2 billion. They could easily profit share more. The second tweet you posted, they also admit the company has become Shady. LOL

Developer payments is Roblox's largest cost. See: any of their quarterly reports or their developer cut breakdown

I thought the point of this article was to argue that Roblox exploited children? Bit difficult to argue that when even small developers don't see it that way.

I'm shocked that a Roblox developer had a negative opinion about an article that points out Roblox deceptive business practices. Insert shocked Face Here

Have you considered that *children* shouldn't be *workers*? This is exploitation and this aspect and the gambling aspect of Roblox should be shut down. Sorry, Antonio, I don't think kids should be used by a company to provide goods the company benefits from. It's rather like "family channels" on YouTube where the children are exploited.

Construing "children" as "workers" is only merely providing (incorrect - given the ages of most developers on the platform) context about privilege and power imbalances. I think most can agree that we do not blame YouTube as a platform for the existence of family channels, but rather the parents who use their privilege to exploit their children for work. Why should Roblox be treated any differently?

With Roblox, the power imbalance is much less than children being subservient to their parents to sustain their lives or to face the frequent systemic abuse in the foster system (or similar horrific fates). People are free to leave or join Roblox - it's their choice, and Roblox's gain or loss. Also unlike the "family YouTube channels" example, developers do gain some leverage over Roblox once they do become successful, with developers known to move platforms when the monetary cut doesn't cut it.

I honestly could care less for lootboxes. Feel free to regulate that as some European countries have.

The thing that bothers people is that Children aren't only the workers, they are also the customers. They are too young to realize what a money grabbing scheme they are involved in. I'm sure this eases them into adulthood and even greater gambling problems. Also a little lofty to believe that Roblox is saving children left and right from abusive foster homes. Regardless, i've perused your account and for 2 years you've only made posts defending roblox, so i assume you are paid to do so, I am not, so goodbye
