I'm 100% for public education, but I'm still on the fence about voucher programs. In my mind it's like: If my state is gonna spend $13,000 per student, why can't each student put that 13k toward a (sometimes private) school of their choosing?
I hadn't thought about means testing to exclude wealthy families before this article, and i see how wealthy folks who are already sending their kids to private, could misuse the program.
In my state voucher kids get about 4k more than public kids & i do have a problem with that.
