Absolutely horrible. And it's a vicious circle. Raise rent, improve property, raise rent again. If these corporate landlords even keep their properties in decent shape, which apparently they don't.
I commute an hour to work. I would love to live a little closer, but I can't afford the rent (for substandard properties?) in the three cities that are relevant.
