I am 86 and have been wondering why supermarket berries have no flavor. I have avoided purchasing Driscoll berries and even some other labels because of no flavor. They seem to pick them too early for staying fresh longer but no flavor anymore.

Continuation: we should go back to growing season availability. I wash and soak in
Vinegar or baking soda but not sure if pesticides are removed.
